Honouring Women, Empowering Futures\

August marks Women’s Month, a time to celebrate the strength, resilience and unwavering spirit
of women across South Africa and beyond. Through its ongoing RADA Inspire campaign, RADA
encourages society to recognise and appreciate the women who shape our lives, including
mothers, daughters, sisters, colleagues and friends, each with a unique story that deserves to be
heard and celebrated.
Each woman’s journey is marked by moments of fortitude, growth and determination. These
experiences help define her identity and have the power to inspire those around her. RADA
encourages all women to honour their uniqueness and share their stories with confidence and
pride.
Women are often the silent force behind the scenes, balancing careers, families and community
responsibilities while being emotional and spiritual anchors to those around them. This August,
let us go beyond appreciation by actively supporting the women around us. Take time to truly
listen, offer encouragement and create safe, respectful spaces where their voices can be heard.
Let empathy, kindness and love guide our interactions, empowering women to speak, grow and
thrive.
RADA remains deeply committed to empowering young women through the RADA MiPad
Project, which provides sustainable, reusable sanitary pad packs to schoolgirls in vulnerable
communities. To date, with the generous support of sponsors, over 35,406 MiPads been
distributed giving girls the opportunity to attend school consistently, restore their self-esteem
and ultimately complete their education. With each MiPad pack lasting up to five years, this
initiative does more than meet a basic need, it unlocks potential, fosters equality and helps girls
dream bigger for their futures. Research has shown that menstruation-related absenteeism can
cause girls to miss up to five days of school each month. RADA is changing that reality, one girl
at a time.
This Women’s Month, stand up, speak out and celebrate the women who inspire you, from
trailblazers who have shaped history to the everyday heroes who uplift your life. Let’s continue
building a world where women feel seen, heard, safe and supported.
To every remarkable woman reading this, remember to care for yourself as wholeheartedly as
you care for others. Nurturing your physical, mental and emotional health is not only vital for
your own strength but also enriches the lives of those you touch every day.
