Tales from the Void is our debut album—the culmination of everything we’ve been working toward. There’s variety throughout, with each track drawing you into its own world, yet every song remains unmistakably Doctor Black. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re thrilled for everyone to finally hear it.
The album artwork by Mark Leary of AsylumSeventy7 is phenomenal. The mixing and mastering by Benedikt Hain at Outback Recordings has truly brought our vision to life, elevating the songs even further.

Doctor Black, founded by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Rob Rees, is carving out a unique space in the alternative music landscape. Rob, a veteran of the UK music scene since 2007, infuses his extensive experience and distinctive worldview into the band’s sound. Drawing inspiration from Slipknot, Parkway Drive, and A Day To Remember, Doctor Black’s music is an aggressive yet accessible mix of metal, punk, and post-hardcore.
