ROCK THE BOAT SET SAIL WITH DEBUT ALBUM KEEPS ME BREATHING.

South African duo Rock The Boat have officially launched their highly anticipated debut album Keeps Me Breathing via Just Music— a heartfelt collection that blends country warmth, pop polish, and classic rock energy.

Formed by Wendy Niehaus and Stewart Irving, Rock The Boat is a union of two seasoned performers whose shared love of melody, harmony, and storytelling gives the project its soul. The album moves seamlessly from Americana-inspired textures to uplifting pop-rock anthems, anchored by the pair’s undeniable chemistry.

“Keeps Me Breathing is the culmination of years of performing, writing, and learning to trust our instincts as artists,” says Niehaus. “It’s about connection, resilience, and remembering what keeps you going.”

Stewart Irving, born in Scotland, began his musical journey at 23 when he signed with EMI Records, touring across Europe and the UK before settling in South Africa. Over the years, he’s become a well-known name in the local scene through his work with iconic acts like Ballyhoo, Alter-Irving, and The Reckoning. Beyond music, Irving also worked in television production, contributing to major shows such as Top Billing and Toyota Top 20.

“Rock The Boat was born out of a shared vision to create music that feels genuine — songs that tell stories and connect people,” says Irving.
