The much-loved South African comedian returns with his 28th brand new solo show, “AV-A-LAUGH-TA”, this fast-paced stand-up spectacle, is designed to keep the blues firmly at bay.

Written and performed by Alan Committie, and directed by Christopher Weare, “AV-A-LAUGH-TA is set to hit the stage at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre from 20 March to 12 April 2026. Expect Committie to be at his sharpest. His trademark wordplay, rapid-fire japes, madcap physical hi-jinx and a hilarious skewering of the events and absurdities of 2025, at the ready.

He’ll more from stories of traumatic passport photo shoots towedding-to-funeral whiplash, to audiobooks gone wrong, Italian bus journeys and modern password pressure. Who can’t relate to the latter. No event is spared, or seen as too mundane. Then just when you think it couldn’t get bigger, Committie recreates the 12 best minutes of Titanic to close the show. Will your favourite scene be included? Only one way to find out.
