Cindy-Louise is a South African-born singer-songwriter currently based in the Netherlands, whose bold and innovative artistry has been captivating audiences from a young age. Immersed in music since she was 16, she built a strong foundation through classical singing and piano lessons, setting the stage for an evolving career that seamlessly blends diverse musical influences.
Pursuing a major in Music Philosophy with a focus on classical and jazz voice, Cindy-Louise refined her technique through rigorous training and performance. Her participation in the Mediterranean Opera Festival Program in Italy allowed her to embrace demanding roles such as Despina in Così fan tutte and Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, experiences that not only honed her vocal prowess but also deepened her storytelling capabilities.

‘Follow You’ captures a blending of modern pop production, heartfelt storytelling, and romantic flair. Cindy-Louise is inspired by chart-topping icons such as Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Tate McRae, Mabel, and Tyla. She channels the euphoric confidence and sparkle that define their biggest hits. “I loved that I was dancing,” she shares, “and my whole light began to shine again.”
I enjoyed the music video. It starts with someone asking Cindy-Louise how her ideal man would be. She implies that she’ll follow the right man for her. It then shows her getting ready for a date in a playful way. The lyrics “Feelings overload, Never tasted so sweet“ go nicely with “Champagne delight and kisses“. And “Fast cars and flashing lights, That’s the kind of thing you like” for me means I am a man who knows what he wants and doesn’t hesitate to show it. Isn’t that what every woman wants? Lol. A man who takes the lead in this dance we call love. She also does a bit of dancing herself, which is infectious, showing a woman excited to meet the man of her dreams. You hear a techno voice of a man at the end, which is interesting. The target market of this song is mostly women, and I think every woman can relate at some point in her life.
An overall feel-good song with great storytelling. The video accompanies this perfectly. You go, girl! Lol.
