This event is particularly close to my heart and I’m always so happy to be involved. The event was held at The Four Seasons Hotel the Westcliff in Johannesburg (one of the proud sponsor partners), an immaculate venue which has only been so giving. The launch event was packed, passionate and deeply moving. The atmosphere carried both heart and hope, with a clear call to action: South Africans can make a real difference in the lives of children and teenagers fighting cancer.
Keith Juluka, added a musical heartbeat to the campaign. Unveiled a catchy Flip Flop Day jingle, which he performed live to an enthusiastic response. Serving as a reminder that music has the power to unite people behind a shared cause. Guests were also the first to see the emotional “We Are One” video. A heart-tugging tribute to the vital, daily work CHOC and its medical partners do across the country.

Supporting Flip Flop Day couldn’t be easier. Simply purchase a R10 sticker at any Tekkie Town branch nationwide, at a CHOC House, or online at www.choc.org.za, then wear your flip flops (and your sticker) on Friday, 20 February.
It’s just R10 – but collectively, those small contributions create life-changing impact.

With all that said, it’s nearly time to kick off your shoes for a cause! Flip Flop Day 2026 – the annual fundraising initiative of CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa – takes place nationwide on Friday, 20 February.
So, get your #FlipFlopDay2026 sticker, get your toes ready, and step up for a cause that truly matters.
