Acclaimed psychedelic blues and rock artist Sannie Fox returns home this summer for two intimate and unmissable performances on 14 December and 20 December. Known for her electrifying guitar work, soulful vocals, and evocative songwriting, Fox brings a preview of her forthcoming 2026 album to South African audiences for the very first time.

Sannie Fox — a singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer — has carved out a distinctive space in the global music landscape. With two South African Music Awards (SAMA) nominations for her albums Serpente Masjien and My Soul Got Stranger, and a UK AIM Award nomination for Best Live Act, she has earned a reputation as one of the most compelling and immersive live performers to emerge from South Africa.

Drawing from her British, South African, and Portuguese heritage, as well as her theatre training (BA Hons) and creative work across film and radio, Fox’s music is a blend of gritty electric guitars, expressive melodies, and rich lyricism — a sound that is both eclectic and unmistakably her own.

Now based in London, Fox is deep in the writing and arrangement process for her third studio album, due for release in 2026. While in Cape Town, she will give audiences an exclusive first listen to new material shaped over the last five years.

“Material on the LP was written over the last 5 years in a time of wandering along the river Thames and canals, moving through the streets, pubs and alleys of London and culminated in a contemporary soundtrack of rhythmic grooves, riffs and poetry set to all the good stuff — heartbreak, saudade and escapism.”

14th December – Aegir Project Brewery (Cape Town)

Free Entry

20 December – Balboa Balcony Bar (Stellenbosch)

Tickets – R75 at door.  For bookings contact 021 886 7110 / thebalboabalconybar@gmail.com

“I am excited to be visiting Cape Town to perform this Summer,” says Fox. “The shows will feature Alex Mayers on bass guitar and Kurt Diedericks on drums. The audience can expect a taste of the new LP which will be released in 2026 and features psychedelic blues, Celtic and soul-based music with prominent guitar melodies, soundscapes and expressive vocals.”

These Cape Town performances mark a rare opportunity to catch Sannie Fox live in South Africa as she unveils the next chapter of her sonic journey.
