BreakOut Events and Anything Goes are delighted to announce that South Africa’s own Msaki joins the bill for this special night. With a voice of power and poetry, Msaki brings her unique artistry to the occasion – complementing RY X’s soundscape and offering local musical representation at this high-profile event.The venue, Kirstenbosch, under the auspices of South African National Biodiversity Institute, is a UNESCO-recognised heritage site, combining natural beauty and live entertainment.
“Rye X is one of my favourite musicians – in the way that he presents his work, it’s definitely just a person with beautiful melodies and songs and stories, who expresses in whatever way, you know, feels right for the moment. So, from his acoustic stuff, to playing with a band or an orchestra, to his electronic set, there’s the essence of Ry, which is always just running under, and I feel very connected to that, you know, and I feel like one of the reasons why we just connected and got along was because there’s a common denominator in the way that we kind of see and feel music. Looking forward to the show at Kirstenbosch, (0:46) and yeah, can’t wait to just spend time together and write more songs.”, says Msaki.
