In Color: Part One represents a career-defining evolution for Cincotti. IAMSU!’ is a centerpiece of this vision – a seamless confluence of jazz, pop, and hip-hop that pushes the boundaries of his signature sound.

“Working with hip-hop artist IAMSU! on my new song ‘Golden’ was different from anything I’ve done before, yet felt like a completely natural collaboration,” says Peter Cincotti. “He brought a lot of life to the recording session and it ended up being one of my favorite collaborations of this project.”

The track features a rich, live instrumentation that fans of Cincotti’s virtuosic style have come to expect, including contributions from frequent creative partners Tony Glausi on trumpet and Lex Sadler on bass. Together, they create a sophisticated yet modern backdrop for the high-energy contribution from the acclaimed Bay Area rapper IAMSU!
