It is with great sadness that I, Veronika van der Walt (co-admin), must confirm the passing of Fanbase Music Magazine’s CEO, Duwyne (Duzzy) Clayton. I will attempt to keep his lifelong dream and legacy alive.

Duzzy was a son, husband, brother and a good friend to many. He always promoted independent artists and their music. He also helped people and animals in need. One of the most kindhearted people I knew.

He will be remembered and greatly missed. Taken away too soon. I know he is rocking with his music heroes in heaven now. Makes me think of “My Hero” song by Foo Fighters, one of his favourite bands:

”There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He’s ordinary”

Like the great Duzzy used to say, “keep building the scene”!
